ETHICAL POLICY

ETHICAL REGULATION SYSTEM

For a cleaner, more honest world, KOEN(KOSEP) will play a leading and crucial role.

KOEN(KOSEP)'s ethical criteria will underpin its corporate philosophy and demand the institution
of an ethical code to regulate and govern the conduct of all workers and directors.

  • Corporate Philosophy
    Corporate Philosophy is defined as the moral vision or our core value,
    which is universal and all-embracing and guides the actions and
    policies of our company
  • Code of ethics
    Code of ethics is defined as a declaration of our fundamental policy on the
    ethical management of the corporation.
  • Conduct Criteria
    Conduct Criteria are defined as sub-concepts of the aforementioned
    Ethical Code providing overall guidance in the implementation of the code.
  • Code of conduct
    Code of conduct for workers and directors is defined as a basic concept
    which guides the behavior and ethical judgments of all company employees
    in a practical, concrete, open and transparent way.

CONDUCT CRITERIA

KOEN(KOSEP) is endeavoring to become a first class business enterprise, admired and respected by people for its efforts to increase social welfare through the stable supply of low-priced, best-quality electricity.

KOEN(KOSEP) members have pride in our ethical code and make a solemn vow to conduct our selves according to set standards of conduct. All workers and directors of KOEN(KOSEP) are committed to adhering to these standards.

Clause 1

Our first priority is to respect and serve people and to work ceaselessly to maximize customer satisfaction.

Clause 2

We are profoundly aware of the importance of environmental conservation and the need to love and respect nature. We are leading the way in eco-friendly management through our various environmental conservation activities and the construction of power plants in harmony with the natural environment.

Clause 3

We are trying hard to become professionals, specialists and experts in order to enhance and improve our company.

Clause 4

We are doing our best to develop mutual trust and cooperation among the workers and directors.

Clause 5

As a member of the community, we are conducting our activities with a keen sense of moral and civic duty. We are leading the way in realizing social justice by basing our activities and policies on moral concepts.

Clause 6

As part of the infrastructure of Korea, we pride ourselves on thorough innovation in electrical techniques and management and we will contribute to the development of the culture, the economy and the welfare of society by a philosophy of social responsibility and commitment.

According to our values, we are committed to embracing continuous innovation and the development of a sound corporate culture, and disregarding outdated and ineffective policies or techniques.

CODE OF CONDUCT IN ETHICAL CODE POLICY

The purpose of Code of Conduct, practicing guideline for the Charter, is to offer ethical criteria in decision-making and desirable standard for conduct.

Chapter 1

Human respect and customer service

  • We respect individual personality and creativity and help people’s potential ability emerge at its maximum level.
  • We always serve the customers politely.
  • We always find out the needs of customers and positively reflect them into management.

Chapter 2

Environment-friendly Management

  • We observe all the environment-related regulations and find ways to take necessary measures to protect environment in every process of business while putting priority to the effects on environment.
  • We endeavor to minimize the damage when building power plants and harmonize them with neighboring scenery.
  • We keep the environment clean, save commodities, recycle to protect the environment.

Job Attitude

  • We behave with owner spirit that each one represents the corporation in one’s field and keep public decency.
  • We set desirable employee’s model on our own and do jobs with pride about the corporation and vacation.
  • We acquire new knowledge through ceaseless effort to self-improve and apply it to one’s job.

  • We perform every job fairly and endeavor to foster sound corporate culture.
  • We eradicate wrong practices, irrationalities and badly-ingrained job attitude to see a new corporate culture based on rationality and efficiency.

Chapter 8

Establishing Fair Trade Order

  • We do not discriminate such as doing favor to specific party irrespective of reward.
  • We reflect the effect of trade situation change such as change in planning, price fluctuation, additional order into contract price to achieve trade justice.
  • All employees do not make unreasonable demand to or accept improper proposition such as money and valuables and treats from collaborating companies by means of superior status.
